Bingata! Only in OkinawaExhibit & Identity
How might exhibition graphics provide context for the textile design of an island kingdom?
An exhibition at the Textile Museum in Fall of 2016 showed unique stencil resist-dyed garments from the Ryukyu Kingdom of Okinawa. At Studio A, we developed an identity for the exhibition, including the wall panels, wall graphics, and gallery guide.
IdentityThe logo incorporates a repeating stencil unit drawn from the resist-dying technique used in the garments.
